Eagles' Coach Chip Kelly's Visit Highlight Of 'Wing Bowl 21'

PHILADELPHIA -

The biggest stir at this year's Wing Bowl was not the massive over-eating or even the scantily-clad women, but an appearance by new Eagles Head Coach Chip Kelly.

This is the first time in 21 years that an Eagles head coach has visited the event.

"That's what makes this city so great, there's a passion here and you're excited about being a part of it," Kelly said of all the excitement surrounding his arrival.

The Wing Bowl has a naughty element with all the ladies, the over-eating and the nonsense, but Kelly claimed to not see any of that.

The head coach stopped in to the Wells Fargo Center for just a moment before he headed back to work, but the other spectators were not so quick to head back to the office.

They were eager to see if the eaters brought in from rival football cities could match the hometown favorite and three-time champion, Jonathan "Super" Squibb of South Jersey.

In the end, it was the out-of-towner who won this year. James McDonald from Connecticut got the crown with 287 wings eaten, five more than Squibb.

But it's Coach Kelly who most certainly took home the fan vote this year.
