Ga. man found beside Interstate 85 identified

NORCROSS, Ga. (AP) - The body of a man who was found lying near I-85 in Gwinnett County has been identified as 24-year-old Leviticus Charleston, of Stone Mountain.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://bit.ly/12cllc6 ) reports a county corrections work detail was cleaning debris near the interstate Jan. 23 and discovered the man's body near a ravine.

Gwinnett police Cpl. Ed Ritter told the newspaper police received calls Jan. 11 about a man walking along the concrete median in the northbound lanes of I-85 and was later hit. He said police searched the area and didn't find anything.

Based on the evidence and the level of decomposition, Ritter says investigators determined Charleston died on the scene after being hit by a car.
