The Georgia State Patrol says one of its troopers was involved in a shooting near Interstate 20 on Thursday.
According to the GSP, the shooting happened on Fulton Industrial Boulevard north of the interstate.
FOX 5 has learned that an 18-wheeler was waiting at a stoplight when a man walking along the road came up to the truck driver. An argument broke out and the truck driver chased the other man.
A GSP trooper saw what was going on and told both men to stop. The trooper saw that the man who approached the truck driver had something in his hand and told him to "drop it." The man did not, and the trooper shot him.
The man was shot in the abdomen, and transported to an area hospital. His condition is not known.
