FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. -

A strong storm system caused trees to fall in Floyd County on Wednesday.

Two large branches from a tree came down one man's yard, just missing his house. James Bishop said that he had just gotten home from working an overnight shift when he woke up to a large noise around 11 a.m.

Around the block, two magnolia trees came down in another yard on Woodward Street.

There were no reports of injuries or significant structural damage in Rome.
