Valley military support group celebrates 10 year anniversary

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX -

A valley military support group is celebrating meeting every week for 10 years during a packing party on Wednesday.

Once a month, Military Families Support Group packs care packages to be sent overseas to those serving overseas.

After 10 years, the group will honor their Gold Star families and the sacrifices they've made for our country. They will also celebrate the men and women who have served, and are currently serving, in the military.

The group still needs canned soup, beef jerky, energy bars, baby wipes and items in travel size. They also need snack, quart and gallon size zip lock baggies for items that may open during shipping.
