'Lisa's Army' Honors Ovarian Cancer Victim By Helping Others

Posted: Updated:

A young lady is trending on Twitter not for what she did but rather what she left behind.

Lisa Golden passed away from a cancer she'd never heard of, and now her final request is being honored with the hope of saving others.

It was a discovery that no one saw coming or would even begin to understand.

"She was around 20 and she thought she was pregnant, that's why she gained so much weight," Lisa's sister, Alyssa Loonstyn told FOX 29.

Four years later, Lisa would lose her fight to ovarian cancer.

Her death has led to the creation of "Lisa's Army," which aims to provide emotional and financial support to help other women, just like Lisa, to become aware.

You can watch the story in the video above.
