Cops: Teen takes children on joy ride

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

An upstate 16-year-old is accused of taking two younger children on a joy ride in a stolen car.

The New York State Police say that Felipe Hernandez, 16, of Rome, N.Y. was seen driving erratically with children, ages 9 and 12 in the car.

Police pulled him over and found the car was stolen.

Hernandez is faces unauthorized car use charges and child endangerment charges.

He was arraigned and was committed to the Oneida County Jail on $100 bail.
