PHOENIX -

A man was rushed to the hospital Monday night after being involved in a domestic violence situation with a woman.

Police say a woman was dropping off her kids into the care of their father, in the area of 34th Street and McDowell Road. The father may have been intoxicated and an argument ensued.

The woman was trying to leave to go to work when the man jumped on the hood of her car, according to police. The woman accelerated, causing the man to fall off the car and be run over.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police have not said if the couple was dating, married, divorced, or estranged.

No names have been released in this case.
