DA's Office Charges Man Accused Of Fake Liberty Bell Bomb Threat

PHILADELPHIA -

The man accused of making a bomb threat over the weekend at the Liberty Bell now faces terroristic threats and resisting arrest charges.

The Philadelphia District Attorney's Office says it has charged Carlos Balsas, 41, in connection to the incident.

Police say Balsas entered the Liberty Bell Center shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday and told a security officer that he had explosives in his backpacks.

Investigators didn't find anything in his bags.
