Man missing from Ashburn neighborhood

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are searching for the public's help to find a man who went missing last Tuesday from the Southwest Side Ashburn neighborhood.

Fabian Castaneda, 30, was last seen in the 7800 block of South Western Avenue, according to an alert issued by Area Central detectives.

Castaneda may be in need of medication and frequents the 5500 to 7900 blocks of South Cicero Avenue, the alert said.

He is described as a 6-foot-1, 210-pound Hispanic man with brown eyes, gray hair and a light complexion, the alert said. Castaneda also has tattoos on his arms and back.

He was wearing a black hooded cloth jacket with a blue hoodie underneath with the word "Chicago" on it, the alert said. He was also wearing jeans with black and gold "Jordan" gym shoes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
