There is a good chance to see some of that white stuff in the next 48 hours or so with our next system, as a roller-coaster week of weather gets under way.
Saturday's high was only 29 degrees. We should be right around 40 for this time of year.
Most areas dipped into the teens overnight, and it felt like the single digits or colder in some parts with the wind chill.
But we could get above freezing today. Isn't that a nice change? The sun will be shining and the wind will die down, making it feel a little warmer than it has been.
A system back coming out of the Great Lakes will bring us our next chance for a wintry mess of sorts Monday.
Our FOX Futurecast shows that we could have snow in some places like the Poconos and north and west of the city. There could even be a mix of snow, rain and sleet in places to the south of Philadelphia.
As of Sunday morning, a Winter Weather Advisory is posted only for Lancaster County. It lasts from 4 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday and calls for 1 to 2 inches of snow, followed by a 0.1-inch accumulation of ice.
Most of us should changeover to rain as temperatures actually rise from this warm front. We'll get to a high of 38 on the day.
"But before that happens, your Monday morning commute could be a bit dicey," FOX 29 Meteorologist Danielle Vollmar said, adding that some places could stay below the freezing mark.
The light shower activity carries over into early Tuesday morning. The forecast high for later in the day is 52.
By Wednesday, we're in the mid- to even upper-50s when that strong cold front moves on through. Heavy rain is possible, and there may even be a thunderstorm out there because it will be very mild.
Don't get used to the 50s, though. Temperatures drop back into the 30s behind that front, and we're looking at another shot of snow probably by week's end.
