The “Phantom of the Opera” celebrates 25th Anniversary

The longest running show in Broadway history celebrated its 25th anniversary.
The "Phantom of the Opera" became the first show to ever hit that mark on the Great White Way.
The Broadway show made its debut on January 26, 1988 and has grossed over $888 million. Phantom of the Opera has also recorded a total attendance of 15 million.
Phantom of the Opera became the longest-running show in Broadway history on January 9, 2006 with its 7,486th performance. Since breaking that record, the Phantom has played both an additional seven years and nearly 3,000 performances.
