Arizonans cope with rain after warm week

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX -

People across the state woke up to rain and many will go to sleep listening to rain drops.

Last week we were in the 80's, the week before it was freezing and now we're enduring hours on end of rain.

Lot's of people had to buy umbrellas or dig them out of the closet as they ventured out on Saturday.

It was a soggy start to the weekend as rain pitter-pattered on Phoenix sidewalks and streets.

The county flood control rainfall maps show the entire valley saw around an inch of rain in the last 24 hours, with the North and East seeing the most.

Pima and Jomax in North Scottsdale saw close to two inches of rain while Mesa saw about an inch and a half.
