Police: Cab driver shot, killed in Clayton County

RIVERDALE, Ga. -

Police are investigating the shooting death of a taxi cab driver in Riverdale on Friday.
     
According to police in Clayton County, they received a 911 call from a resident concerning a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of Brookview Drive in the College Condos around 1:30 a.m.  When the officers arrived they found the driver side window of the cab shattered, and the driver shot in the head.

Medical crews on the scene could not revive the victim, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they are talking to residents to see if anyone saw anything suspicious. It is not clear why the cab driver was in the area, and police have not released a motive.

The name of the victim has not been released.
