PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia police are searching for the suspect who they say knocked a man to the floor, punched him and stole his cash at a Chinese food store earlier this week.

The theft happened at the Golden City Chinese food store on the 4100 block of North Broad Street around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say the suspect entered the business, knocked the 51-year-old man to the floor, punched him and then pinned him down. The suspect then reached into the man's pocket and stole $230 in cash before leaving the store, police said.

The entire incident was caught on surveillance camera.

The suspect was last seen headed south on Broad Street.

Police describe the suspect as a black man between the age of 25-30 standing 5'7" tall. He was last seen wearing a blue skull cap, a tan hooded jacket, a button down shirt, dark colored pants and brown Timberland style boots.
