13-year-old who threatened to kill fellow student arrested

PHOENIX -

A student at George Gervin Prep Academy was taken into custody Wednesday after threatening to kill another student over an iPod.

Police were called to the school, located near 28th St and Southern, and arrested the teen.

They didn't find any weapons, and he was booked into a juvenile facility. His name will not be released unless prosecutors decide to charge him as an adult.

Tuesday in Guadalupe, a 10-year-old at Frank Elementary School threatened to stab another student. A knife was in his backpack.
