Raymond Plays A Little One-On-One With A Laker

As a Lakers fan, watching Lakers games on TV is one thing this week's Wednesday's Child Raymond (2000) looks forward to and enjoys doing.  So it's no surprise that Raymond was game when Wednesday's Child offered him a chance to go up-close and personal with members of his favorite team during a Lakers practice, including some one-on-one coaching from Lakers' forward Antawn Jamison!

Raymond is an active and observant youth who may be on the quieter side as he watches and takes in a situation before taking action.  For a kid who loves playing basketball, Raymond still took in the lessons on basketball basics from Antwan Jamison before he was ready to jump into the moment and shoot for the Lakers hoop himself.

Raymond likes school as well as outdoor activities.  Raymond also has a big heart and is willing to lend a hand.  In his current placement, Raymond helps with chores without being asked and on this particular day, he shared a gift with Antawn – a matching purple and gold watch – so that they both have something to remember this day by.

Raymond appreciated the opportunity, coaching and help that were provided him this day by Antawn and others.  Raymond sees himself offering help to others in the future, perhaps as a fireman.  For now though, Raymond is looking for a permanent family to help support and coach him through the shots he takes at different hoops as he moves forward in life.
