PHILADELPHIA -

The man Philadelphia police say slashed a woman's face will now face an attempted murder charge, prosecutors said Tuesday.

Police say 30-year-old Cory Harley confessed to robbing 23-year-old Ashley Hackett and cutting her face with a knife in Center City on Nov. 11.

Hackett needed over 100 stitches to close the wound.

Harley is also charged with aggravated assault, robbery, theft, receiving stolen property, possession of an instrument of crime, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, according to the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office.

All charges against him were held for trial at a preliminary hearing Tuesday. His next court appearance is set for Feb. 12.
