CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
There are a few things from the presidential inauguration that you might have missed. Thank goodness for social media, right?
A shot of Bill Clinton has been trending online. He seemed to enjoy Kelly Clarkson's rendition of "My Country 'Tis of Thee" and craned his neck into the aisle for a better view. An alert television viewer snapped a shot of the screen and put it on Twitter.
Beyonce delivered a stirring National Anthem. She apparently started getting feedback in her earpiece at the height of the song and seamlessly took it out.
And did you notice her colorful nails? Her manicurist reportedly said Beyonce walked in and plainly said "I want orange."
Inside the Capitol, Kelly Clarkson posted a photo of her meeting Beyonce on Facebook. She also posted a shot of her with the president. The caption said: "maybe the coolest photo I've ever been in."
Live, unscripted TV can be tough even for the best of us.
The former Clinton White House Adviser-turned-broadcaster George Stephanopolous had a little faux pas during coverage on ABC News.
"..and look at that crowd gathering now. There's Morgan Freeman I think. Right there on the Capitol steps. Bill Russel, I'm sorry," Stephanopolous said, quickly correcting himself.
Our sister news agency, The Wall Street Journal, reports 1.1 million inauguration-related tweets were sent during the ceremony.
Twitter saw the most traffic during the president's speech when Mr. Obama said "we cannot mistake absolutism for principle... name calling as a substitute for debate."
The words "Sasha and Malia," and "first daughters" were among the highest trending terms.
