Police: Delaware Man Gets 6th DUI, Resists Arrest

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. -

A man in Delaware has been caught driving under the influence for the sixth time, police say.

According to police, a state trooper stopped Jeffrey Barnes, 39, of Bear, after he made an illegal U-turn and began driving the wrong way on a one-way street early Friday morning on the Coastal Highway in Rehoboth Beach.

Barnes stopped his vehicle in a Wal-mart parking lot and tried to run away, but was quickly caught by the pursuing trooper, police said.

Barnes also faces charges of resisting arrest, aggressive driving, making an illegal U-turn, driving the wrong way on one-way road and various other traffic-related offenses, police said.
