NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Rescue workers pulled a woman to safety hours after she became trapped between two concrete walls in a very narrow space.

News coverage from Portland, Oregon of the rescue showed the woman hanging in a space approximately eight inches wide.

The woman's hand could be seen reaching out from a hole created by firefighters.

According to local media reports, airbags were used to push the walls further away and soapy watery was used to move her out.

It is not clear how the woman ended up between the walls.

Her husband was reportedly with her when she fell between the walls at about 3:30 a.m.

She appeared in good spirits as firefighters helped her through the large hole they cut into the wall.

The woman was placed on a stretcher and taken away.
