Arrest made in indecent exposure incident in Gilbert

GILBERT, Ariz. -

Gilbert Police have arrested a man who they say has exposed himself to a female victim while she was jogging.

It happened on Dec. 27 in the area of Higley and Frye Roads. The suspect was last seen riding a red mountain bike in that area. The description of a black male, 16 to 18 years old, 5'8" to 6' tall, was released to the public.

On Jan. 10, an anonymous person called Gilbert Police and advised they saw a male subject who matched the description of the person who had been wanted for indecent exposure. The caller notified police of the man's location and they arrived to question him.

After an investigation, they arrested Derrius Kelly, 19. The shoes, shorts and sweatshirt he was wearing during the incident were recovered.

Kelly was charged with indecent exposure, a class 1 misdemeanor.
