Auto supplier Denso plans to bring 400 new jobs to Michigan

DETROIT (WJBK) -- Japanese automotive supplier Denso plans to invest $1 billion in North American over the next four years, including $150 million and 400 new jobs in Michigan.

The proposed job plan would be divided between two facilities in Southfield and Battle Creek. Denso officials revealed the plan Tuesday morning that the North American International Auto Show.

The plan still needs approval from the state and local tax incentives, according to reports.

"We've got one of the best business climates in the entire country and you're seeing jobs being created," said Michigan Governor Rick Snyder while touring the auto show. Click the video player to hear more from Snyder.
