DETROIT (WJBK) -- If the Hollywood Foreign Press gives us the Golden Globes, then the Automotive Foreign Press must give GQ a reason to exist.

But sartorial splendor is only good if you can look equally smooth sipping champagne served by Bentley to celebrate the company's new Continental GT Speed Convertible, complete with 616 horsepower and a price tag of roughly $235,000. It's perfect for the one percent of consumers who can actually afford it, and totally useless to the 99 percent protesters camped out of Cobo Center.

Back inside, the ever-quotable former GM exec Bob Lutz said this about the new Corvette Stingray: "The striving for excellence, striving to be best in class did not go away with my departure."

The Michelin man hailed a cab and a lion tamer subdued a ferocious car. OK, it was actually a giant inflatable Michelin man and a photographer using a GoPro camera on a long Monopod to shoot the Ford Mustang.

Even a Lebanese crew commented that they enjoyed Detroit's weather!

Those are just some of the oddities you'll see at the North American International Auto Show. Click the video player to see a few more.
