A local soldier returned home on Friday after serving seven months in Afghanistan.
Sgt. Travious Evans of Union Point was greeted by his mother and aunt at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Evans told FOX 5 that he read the Bible every day to get him through the tough times overseas. He said that he looking forward to enjoying good food and getting plenty of rest.
