Phoenix Home and Garden Show opens Friday

The Home and Garden Show is in the valley this weekend, helping those with a green thumb, along with local fire and law enforcement.

The Arizona State Fairgrounds was full of people looking to spruce up their landscapes Friday.

Home and Garden teamed up with the 100 Club, displaying some of the best designs in landscaping.

Visitors got a chance to check out hundreds of booths and discover some of the latest trends in home improvements.

Those who brought a 24-pack of water received a free ticket, which will be donated to local fire and police departments.

    Israeli police said Tuesday they are searching for a young New Jersey religious student who disappeared during a hike in a forest outside Jerusalem last week. Aaron Sofer, 23, of Lakewood, N.J., has been missing since Friday, when he went on a hike with a friend in the Jerusalem Forest, said police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld.
