A man was shot in the face inside a Brooklyn subway station.

The NYPD says the shooting occurred just before 2 a.m. on Thursday at the Saratoga Avenue station in Brownsville.

The victim was on the platform of the Manhattan bound #3 train when he was shot, according to police.

The man was rushed to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.

A police investigation was underway.  No arrests had been made.

There were reports that three people were seen running from the station after the attack.  The NYPD has not confirmed that information.
