Runaway Escalator Malfunction Blamed On Hurricane Sandy

NEWARK, N.J. -

The New Jersey Port Authority believes Superstorm Sandy is to blame for that out-of-control escalator we first showed you the other day.

They say the damage done by Sandy caused the crowded escalator to malfunction.

The cell phone video shows commuters trying to get off. Several people were hurt. Three had to be hospitalized.
