DETROIT (WJBK) -- There has been an arrest following the fatal shooting of a cab driver on Detroit's west side, Fox 2 News confirms.

On January 3, Fox 2's Maurielle Lue reported 48-year-old Tyronne Hitchcock was killed in a double shooting near Children's Hospital.  A 46-year-old female passenger was also shot.

Police say the gunman stole the cab after the shooting and abandoned it near Mack and St. Antoine.

Hitchcock worked for Metropolitan Cab.  He is survived by a daughter, a brother, two sisters and three grandchildren.
