Hockeytown reacts to tentative deal to end NHL lockout

Posted: Updated:
DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

It's the news Hockeytown's been waiting for. A tentative deal is reached to end the 113 day NHL lockout. It still needs to be ratified by players and the league, but if all goes well, hockey should start within two weeks.

Now there's speculation that we'll have a 48 game season, possibly a 50 game season. Dates being floated for the starting point include January 15th and January 19th.  Whatever the case, teams don't have long to get ready.
