NHL Fans Weigh In On End Of Lockout

Posted: Updated:
VOORHEES, N.J. -

While most fans cheered Sunday's news that the NHL lockout was set to end, many wondered how much damage the sport had sustained among its fan base.

In Voorhees, New Jersey fans told FOX 29 they were thrilled to hear that hockey was on its way back, but voiced their frustration over the long hiatus.

"I think this whole thing was just egos, like politics, and I think everybody met in the middle and got where they needed to be and hopefully we don't do this again," one fan said.

Other fans were just happy to know that at least a shortened version of the season would be played this year.

By Thursday a cold front moves by bringing more rain.  It will also bring drier and cooler weather by Friday as we finally clear out.
