First murder victim of New Year remembered

ATLANTA -

A candlelight vigil was held Saturday evening to remember Atlanta's first murder victim of the New Year.

Jared Billings, 18, of Atlanta, was laid to rest Saturday morning. He was a high school senior at Carver High School.

Billings was shot to death New Year's Day following an argument on Epworth Street in southwest Atlanta.

Police are still searching for the gunman.
