Man arrested for threats against Long Island school

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Police on Long Island arrested a man after he allegedly made statements that he was going to shoot everyone at a school.

The arrested took place in Bellmore on Friday afternoon.

Nassau County police say that Peter Andersen, 28, made the threat against Mepham High School in December but the principal only became aware of it on Thursday.

The investigation led detectives to the Andersen's home where they placed him under arrest without incident.

Anderson is charged with making a terroristic threat and was to be arraigned on Saturday in Hempstead.  It was unclear if he had a lawyer.
