Deadly fire in Westchester

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The New York State Police are investigating a deadly fire in the Westchester town of Cortlant.

It happened at about 6:40 a.m. on Friday.

A passerby traveling on Sprout Brook Road called 911 to report the fire.

Responding units from the State Police and Continental Village Fire Department arrived to find the home fully engulfed in flames.

They found the body inside the home.  Police have not released the victim's identity.

Any witnesses are asked to call State Police Investigator Sean J. Morgan at 914.737.7171 with any information.
