Posted: Updated:
BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. -

The shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School has changed the way some locals schools are handling security in the new year.

In Bucks County, parents got upset after a security threat at a Levittown high school.

Students at Truman were asked not to bring backpacks to school after a threat citing Thursday's date was found scribbled in a boy's bathroom over the weekend.

School administrators sent letters home to parents on Wednesday afternoon to inform them that police were investigating.

Both parents and students were upset that school was open Wednesday and they knew nothing about it.

School officials say the locker room where the threat was found was used by multiple school districts during a weekend wrestling tournament.

District officials, police and bomb-sniffing dogs searched the school Wednesday night and found nothing.
