Authorities in Tucson have located a missing man who suffers from advanced Alzheimer's disease.

92-year-old Genaro Chavarria was reported missing at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. His family believes he left his home about 2 a.m.

Tucson police say the man has previously left his home alone after becoming confused and couldn't remember how to get back.

In those cases, he was found walking in an area near his residence.

Chavarria was checked out and appeared to be in relatively good health. He suffered some minor scrapes and the effects of exposure to the cold.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
