Posted: Updated:

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a historic downtown Tucson building has suffered major damage from an overnight fire.

Officials with the Tucson Fire Department say firefighters responded to the scene at about 3:30 a.m. after receiving several 911 calls.

First-responders found the building that houses Wig-o-rama engulfed in fire with heavy smoke pouring from windows and flames coming from the roof.

Authorities say 40 firefighters responded to the scene. The blaze was eventually extinguished. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and a damage assessment had not yet been completed.
