America's State Parks First Day Hikes

If you're looking for something fun to do, how about a quick road trip?

Where better than one of our beautiful state parks, for the first day hikes.

First day hikes started 20 years ago.  The idea was to get people up, get them out and get their new year started off in a healthy way and enjoy the beauty of the parks of course.

Here's a list of parks:

  • Alamo Lake (2 hours from Phoenix)
  • Boyce Thompson Arboretum (1 hour from Phoenix)
  • Catalina (2 hours from Phoenix)
  • Dead Horse Ranch (2 hours from Phoenix)
  • Picacho Peak (Just over 1 hour from Phoenix)
  • Red Rock Sedona (Just over 2 hours from Phoenix)
  • Lost Dutchman (Just under an hour from Phoenix)

All the first day hikes come with a small fee, but nothing over $10.
