Scottsdale preps for big New Year's Eve block party

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -

If you haven't made plans for New Year's Eve yet, the city of Scottsdale hopes to tempt you with its block party.

Crews in Scottsdale are busy setting up for the big bash Monday night.

There are drink specials at five bars and several bands will play the night away, leading up to the midnight champagne toast.

"It's going to be a huge event with the headliners, we're looking forward to a great event," said Doug McLenithan of Dos Gringos.

This is the 10th anniversary for Scottsdale's block party, and they are making it the biggest and best party yet.
