Car flips into water in Queens

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A person was critically injured when a car flipped and landing in water in Queens early Sunday.

It happened after 4:30 a.m. along Rockaway Boulevard near Brookville Boulevard in Queens.

The road crosses a section of Jamaica Bay near JFK Airport.

Four people were rescued.  One of the victims was reportedly in critical condition.

Rescue personnel called off a search for two other people that may have been in the car.  The severely damaged car was pulled from the water.
