Bright and early on a brisk Saturday morning, thousands of people showed up to watch the Fiesta Bowl Parade make its way through the streets of central Phoenix.
A formation of vintage bi-planes kicked off the parade, flying over Central Avenue.
Saturday's line up had it all: big helium balloons, a huge variety of classic cars slowly cruising down the street, a wide variety of dance troupes and, of course, no parade would be complete without dozens of colorful floats.
The parade's first ever entry from Wickengburg was mostly built by students.
"We've been working on the float for about a month, built all by students and teachers and maybe families of the teachers and families of the students, we had about 50 different people work on it, over 35 students," said Kevin Elinksi.
Local dignitaries, including Governor Jan Brewer, Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton and Sheriff Joe Arpaio, on his infamous tank, were also part of the festivities.
They were joined by a band of superheroes, and who ya gonna call to make sure the crowds really enjoyed themselves? The ghostbusters, of course, complete with their iconic Ecto-1 Ambulance.
The floats kept the big crowds entertained, as more than 100,000 people lined the streets to watch this year's spectacle.
The Fiesta Bowl game between the Oregon Ducks and Kansas State Wildcats is in Glendale on Thursday. Game time is 6:30 p.m..
