Suspect is arrested in burglary of a Tucson home

Updated:

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a man is in custody in connection with a burglary at a northwest side Tucson home.

Pima County Sheriff's officials say 24-year-old Michael Allen Frances is being held on suspicion of first-degree burglary.

Authorities say they found stolen electronics, jewelry and other items at the suspect's house.

Sheriff's deputies say a homeowner reported seeing a suspicious man walking down the street carrying bags.

The homeowner identified the bags as his property and followed the suspect before calling the Sheriff's Department.

Deputies took the man into custody and obtained a search warrant for his home, where they reportedly found stolen items from several burglaries.

Authorities didn't immediately know Friday if Frances had a lawyer yet.
