AVONDALE, Ariz. -

A man was gunned down outside of his Avondale home Friday night, in front of his family and neighbors.

Officers were called out to the area of 117th Ave and Jefferson on reports of a domestic disturbance and shots fired about 5:30 p.m.

They arrived to find 44-year-old Albert Thomas Jr. dead in the middle of the street.

After questioning witnesses and going through evidence, investigators found and arrested 31-year-old Thomas Davis Jr. for allegedly shooting Thomas.

Police haven't said how he is related to the suspect.

Family friends who know the victim told us that the shooting may be the result of an ongoing fight between the victim and suspect over family issues.

Davis was booked into jail and faces a charge of one count of second degree murder.
