Oak Lawn holds candlelight vigil for Newtown, Conn. victims

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

People came together for a candlelight vigil in Oak Lawn Thursday in memory of the victims of the shootings in Newtown, Connecticut.

Holiday lights on the village green were turned off for 27 minutes -- one for each innocent victim; 26 at the sandy hook school, plus the mother of the shooter.

Oak Lawn's mayor says the message is that this holiday season has a little less light.
