Phoenix Police officers are filing suit against the city, demanding cash for uniforms they are no longer able to wear on duty.
Earlier this year, Phoenix Police Chief Daniel Garcia mandated all officers to wear the more formal blue polyester uniform.
He banned the cargo pants and black polo shirts preferred by a lot of cops.
Officers say the more formal standard uniform is "heavier" and "doesn't breathe as well." Chief Garcia believes it makes officers more immediately recognizable and it won't be as easy to impersonate an officer.
The suit asks that each officer be reimbursed $1,100 to compensate them for buying the uniforms they can no longer wear.
The suit also asks that officers be once again allowed to wear the casual uniform.
