DETROIT (WJBK) -- 11-year-old Kyla Moceri said her favorite place is now even better.  The Michigan Science Center officially opened its doors to the public Wednesday.

The diabetes exhibit is one of her favorites.

"I love going inside of it because it feels like I'm in a heart," she said.

When the Detroit Science Center was teetering on extension, a group of philanthropists stepped in and took over, raising funds and renaming it the Michigan Science Center.

The center is embarking on a new beginning and showcasing new exhibits like "Bodies Human: Anatomy in Motion", which shows preserved human bodies in action, giving you a glimpse of what's on the inside.

"Every exhibit, it teaches you something," Moceri said.  "I think it's really fun because there's so much to do."

Those lessons and the fun are exactly what keeps families like Moceri's coming back for more.

If you want to join in on all the fun, you'll find hours and prices at www.michigansciencecenter.net.
