ATHENS, Ga. -
University of Georgia nose tackle John Jenkins' continuing academic struggles will keep him out of the Capital One Bowl.
Coach Mark Richt confirmed on Wednesday via social media that Jenkins has flunked out of school. Jenkins's last game with the Dawgs was the SEC title game. He suffered a concussion in that game.
Jenkins was the only Bulldog who did not make the trip to Orlando for the bowl game.
Jenkins now will turn his sights to post-season all-star games and the NFL draft, where he is expected to be selected late in the first round, or early in the second.
