PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - Northern Arizona authorities say a man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a Yavapai County Sheriff's deputy in Black Canyon City.

Sheriff's officials say 64-year-old Charles D. Blazek is being held on $20,000 bond at the Camp Verde Detention Center.

He's accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, trespass, disorderly conduct and use or threat of physical force against a law enforcement officer.

Authorities say a deputy met with Blazek at his Black Canyon City home on Dec. 23 about a trespassing complaint.

Blazek allegedly told the deputy he wouldn't accept a citation nor allow an arrest and would hurt anyone who tried to arrest him.

The deputy says Blazek grabbed two hammers and made verbal threats before being arrested.
