Four critically hurt in South Side shooting

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Four people were critically wounded in a Washington Heights neighborhood shooting Monday night on the South Side.

Paramedics responded to the shooting in the 9400 block of South Justine Street about 7:45 p.m., according to Fire Media Affairs.

Four males shot there were all taken to area hospitals in serious-to-critical condition -- two to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, one to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County and one to Mount Sinai Hospital.

Their ages were not yet known, according to Fire Media Affairs.

Chicago Police could not immediately provide further details.

Area South detectives are investigating.
