Two arrested for northwest Indiana bank robbery

CROWN POINT, Ind. (FOX 32 News) -

Two people were arrested Monday for allegedly robbing a bank Friday in northwest Indiana.

Micheal Desean Anderson, 24, of the 1500 block of Tompkins Street in Gary, Ind., and Rachel Mauger, 21, of the 7000 block of East 117th Avenue in Crown Point, Ind., were charged with felony robbery, according to a release from the Lake County (Ind.) Sheriff's office.

Anderson and Mauger are accused of robbing the First Midwest Bank Friday in Winfield, Ind., the sheriff's office said.

The bank was chosen at random, the sheriff's office said.

Most of the money taken during the robbery has been recovered as well as the vehicle that was used, the sheriff's office said.

Both suspects were ordered held on $30,000 bond.
